12. Afterwards
George gathered his group together, “I suggest we all hurry off to the glade at once, as it is much safer than staying here,” he said.
And Igrene called out, “Aunt Zaza I hope you will come with us.”
Molly Mole then stepped forward and squealed, “Yes, please come, to my wedding. You are all invited to see Mortimer Mole getting married to me, in the glade tomorrow afternoon.”
“You are all invited,” agreed Mortimer.

Aunt Zaza went with them to the glade and sat at the back of the group to watch the wedding.
A dove flew in to take the service, and after the wedding they all feasted on a heap of grubs that one of the young hedgehogs had found in an old rotting tree trunk.
Soon Igrene lay watching the young Hedgehogs and Mippy chasing a grasshopper. Zaza had found a bush to nest in near Igrene and George’s home, and Molly was settling into her newly extended burrow.
The swallows told George that the Fazzi birds had tucked into the juicy fruit in the orchard, and had moved on. They hoped to visit the glade again one day.
