3. Nesting
George was busy, adding the bunch of straw to the heaps he had already piled under their bush.

When Igrene got to the nest and saw all the straw, her visit to her aunt had to wait.
She stayed to lay it as a carpet and new soft furnishing, to make a cosy nest under the bush.
Meanwhile, Molly Mole was mending her molehill. She sniffed,“Well, I’m not building an entrance porch for prickly hedgehogs, even though I am lonely. And I don’t need another tunnel. My home is already too big for me, living on my own.”
Mr. Fazzi was collecting twigs and straw too. He was building a nest across a forked tree branch. “This will impress Mrs Fazzi when she arrives,” he cooed.
Mrs Fazzi arrived the next day, and was thrilled to offer him nest building advice.

The weather grew hotter, and as most of the nests were completed, it was time to relax, and to try to ignore Mr Fazzi’s sudden loud cawing.
